"Growing" is an autobiographical project composed of 898, 16" square, acrylic, collage and mixed media panels on canvas. Each functions as an individual work of art, but when viewed together they create a giant wall installation. My life's personal, spiritual, and political experiences form the common thread unifying this work. The diverse materials employed, including many found objects, represent the components which weave life's fabric. "Growing" is a work in progress. Elyse Taylor.

The panels labeled as 1993, were almost all made some time before. The panels shown April 10-26, 1993 at Grand Palais, La Salon De La Jeune Peinture, Paris, are scattered thoughout this year. After Elyse got into these squares, that is all the art she did, with a few exceptions.
